Liposuction surgery and it's cost in Delhi
An easily movable mass of fat under the skin is called lipoma. Lipomas are slow growing, noncancerous, benign tumours in most cases. Multiple growths are to be expected of lipomas and they can be seen on different parts of body. Even with just a slight touch or pressure lipomas are moveable. Lipoma formation are common in middle age although People of all ages are prone to it. Depending upon size, location and number of lipomas the cost of the lipoma removal in Delhi is decided.
Causes of lipomas
Lipoma occurrence can be triggered with certain factors although we are not sure of the exact cause of lipoma
Some of these factors contribute to lipoma:
If lipomas become painful or start growing or starts bothering you then they need to be treated. There is availability of many lipoma treatment options which includes:
Surgical removal or lipoma excision
By cutting lipomas out surgically most of them are removed. This procedure is short and outpatient. Usually, under local anaesthesiathis procedure is performed. General anaesthesia might be required in certain cases. It is very uncommon to have recurrences after its removal. Scarring and bruising are some of the possible side effects. Where the lump is locatedbeneath, an incision will be made on the skin by the doctor during the surgery. Then the skin is stitched back after removing the lump completely. The patients can go home the same day as their surgeries asthe procedure is quick.
Lipoma usually doesn’t get eliminated but by this treatment it gets shrunk. By the steroid injections it's complete removal is not achieved. Also, with this procedure the chances of recurrence are high.
In order to remove the fatty lump this treatment usually uses a needle and a large syringe. By liposuction the removal of single or multiple lipomas can be done safely and effectively. VASER liposuction technique is used by many clinics to treat lipomas. By ultrasonic energy and facilitating its smooth removal VASER liposuction has added advantage of melting the fat content. Mostly, under local anaesthesia it is performed. In order to reduce bleeding and pain a small puncture is made in hidden areas and the tumescent solution is infiltrated in the next step after administration of local anaesthesia with a very fine needle. To loosen all the dense fat and even breaking the covering the Vaser probe is inserted. All fat contents are removed from the lipoma with a hollow cannula and with the help of high negative pressure. By using a small puncture many lipomas can be emptied due to long cannulas.
Advantage of Vaser liposuction for multiple lipomas removal
As Vaser Liposuction causes minimal pain and minimal side effects, it is a preferred method of Lipoma removal. It offers same day discharge and early recovery. By making one puncture in hidden areas toavoid any visible scarring, multiple lipomas located at different sites are treated with VASER liposuction. All the fat along with its covering is achieved with VASER liposuction and it can be performed under local anaesthesia.

The liposuction (also known as lipo liposuction, lipomodelling, fat suction, lipectomy assisted suction or refining) is a technique used to remove fatty deposits unwanted surface areas of the body, including the chin, neck and cheeks; the upper arms and the upper part of the breasts; the abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles. Liposuction is not used as a substitute for weight loss, but as a method to remove localized fat that is not easily removed through diet or exercise.
If you are considering liposuction this explanation will give you a basic understanding of the procedure when it can help, how it is done, and what results you can expect. This brief information cannot answer all of your questions as there are many factors that depend on your particular case, individually treated. Please ask Doctor anything you don't understand.
Liposuction can improve your appearance and your self-confidence, however it will not necessarily change your appearance to make it ideal, nor can it make other people treat you differently. Before deciding to have liposuction think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with Doctor, a specialist in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery .
The best candidates for liposuction are people of relatively normal weight but who have accumulations of excess fat in specific areas. As a candidate you must be physically healthy [See Preoperative Study], psychologically stable, and be realistic with your expectations. Above all, if you have firm and elastic skin, better results will be obtained in the contour. (The sagging skin prior to liposuction will not take on the shape of the new body contours and may require an additional procedure to surgically remove excess skin. This procedure will leave visible scars).
Liposuction is not recommended if you have recently had surgery on the same site to get a new shape, or if you have poor circulation to that area, or if you have a heart or lung murmur.
You must also understand that liposuction by itself will not improve the lumpy skin known as cellulite, although there are other techniques that can improve this condition. Many women can benefit from liposuction under the chin, on the hips, thighs, stomach, under the arm, and in the breast area.
Liposuction is performed with a normal level of safety, as long as patients are carefully chosen, the operating room is properly equipped, and the plastic surgeon is adequately trained in body contouring operations as well as general surgery.
However, on rare occasions this procedure can cause severe trauma, particularly when multiple or large areas are suctioned at once. Other complications that are rare but nevertheless possible include fluid build-up (which must be drained) and skin damage. Although serious complications are rare, infections or excessive fluid loss can lead to severe illness. Risks can be reduced by choosing a qualified plastic surgeon who has been granted the privileges of performing liposuction operations at a recognized clinic or hospital and following the instructions of your physician closely.
Liposuction scars are small and strategically located to be concealed, even when wearing a bikini. However, other cosmetic problems can occur. These can include the formation of folds or sagging of the skin over the treated area and changes in pigmentation (such as brown spots) and which can be permanent if exposed to the sun. There are times when a second procedure is required when there is a very obvious asymmetry (uneven contour or shape).
During the initial consultation, Doctor will evaluate your health, determine where the fat deposits are located, and carefully determine your skin tone. He will explain any alternate methods used to reshape the body that may be appropriate for you, such as a tummy tuck or abdominal lipectomy, and discuss the best combination of procedures for you.
Be frank when discussing your expectations with your surgeon. He will be just as frank in describing the procedure in detail and explaining the risks and limitations. They will also explain the type of anesthesia you will use, the type of operating rooms where the surgery will be performed, and the costs involved.
During this consultation, be sure to inform your surgeon of times when you have gained or lost large amounts of weight at any time. You should also inform your surgeon if you smoke, if you are taking medications, vitamins, or other drugs or drugs.
Throughout your inquiry. feel free to ask any questions you have, especially regarding your expectations and concerns about the results.
If you are going to have a very extensive liposuction, there is a possibility that it may be advisable to draw blood before the operation. Your own blood can be used to help replace blood and other fluids lost during surgery if necessary.
Doctor will give you specific instructions on how to prepare for surgery, including certain rules about what to eat, drink, smoke, and what vitamins, iron tablets, and certain medications to take or avoid. If you develop a cold or infection of any kind, especially a skin infection, your procedure will have to be postponed .
When making preparations, be sure to arrange for someone to drive you home after surgery and to help you for a day or two.
Liposuction can be performed in a surgical center for patients who are not admitted (Ambulatory Surgery) or in a clinic or hospital. Depending on the areas to be treated, this surgery can be performed without the need for hospitalization for cost and convenience purposes. When there are very extensive procedures, it may be necessary to stay in the hospital for two or three days.
If the amount of fat to be removed is very limited, liposuction can be done under local anesthesia, which numbs the area, combined with sedatives that will make you feel a little relaxed. You will be awake but relaxed and will feel minimal discomfort.
If you plan to liposuction a large area or treat multiple locations, you will probably need an epidural block similar to the anesthesia used in childbirth. In some specific cases, general anesthesia may be necessary; in that case you sleep throughout the operation.
Liposuction generally takes one to two hours, however the time required can vary considerably (from thirty minutes to several hours depending on the area and the amount that is aspirated).
To begin the procedure, the surgeon makes a small incision (5mm-10mm), large enough to allow the insertion of an empty tube called a cannula. The opposite side of the cannula is attached to a machine that creates a strong vacuum effect. The surgeon manipulates the cannula deep into the layers of fat under the skin, diluting the fat and suctioning it out. Sometimes additional incisions are needed to remove all areas of fat.
If you have received local anesthesia, you will feel some vibration or friction during the procedure. You may also feel a burning sensation as the cannula approaches the muscle.
You will lose fluid along with fat during liposuction, therefore it is crucial that this fluid is replaced to prevent your body from going into shock. You will be given fluids through intravenous methods, and if necessary you may also receive a blood transfusion (usually with blood that you have donated in advance).
After surgery, you will probably wear a body wrap, girdle, or mesh over the treated area to control swelling and bleeding, and also to help your skin adjust to its new contour. You will probably need to wear this garment continuously for two to three weeks, then only during the day for a few weeks depending on your surgeon's instructions. Antibiotics will also be prescribed to prevent infection.
Don't expect to look or feel great right after surgery. In fact, you will be heavier than normal for a period of time due to the extra amount of fluids that have been supplied.
Suctioned areas will be swollen and bruised, you will probably also feel a burning or warm sensation. If pain occurs, it can be controlled with mild pain relievers (acetaminophen), although you may still feel numb and achy for a few days. You will probably temporarily lose skin sensitivity in the suctioned area; don't worry this one recovers. It is not uncommon for you to feel depressed in the days or weeks after surgery. Try to remember that this is normal and will go away as you begin to look and feel better.
Recovery is a gradual process. You should walk as soon as possible (to prevent blood clots from forming in your legs), but you should also avoid more stressful activities for two to four weeks. All sutures will be removed in five to ten days, otherwise they will dissolve. You will be able to return to work in a period that can vary from two or three days to as much as two weeks after the surgery. When you continue your activities depends on the extent of your procedure, how you feel, and what your doctor recommends.
Although most of the swelling or discoloration goes away within a month or two after surgery, some swelling may remain for six months or more. Your surgeon will schedule follow-up visits and to see if additional procedures are necessary.
If you feel any abnormal symptoms between visits such as excessive bleeding or a sudden increase in pain (or have any questions about what you can and cannot do), don't hesitate to call your doctor.
Liposuction is a highly effective technique to reshape your body with minimal scarring. The results can be permanent as long as you eat in moderation and exercise regularly. If you gain weight, you probably do so with a more even distribution of weight on your body, not just in the concentrated areas above.
Most patients are very satisfied with the results of their liposuction, they feel more comfortable with their bodies and wearing a wide variety of garments. As long as your expectations are realistic, you will be happy with your new body.
